Erica entered the investment industry in 2007 and founded her career on investment research, trading and security analysis at a bank & trust company. Over time, Erica became the lead portfolio manager overseeing the Colorado Municipal Bond and Taxable Fixed Income Strategies. In 2017, Erica chaired the Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Committee. The team researched and developed an ESG strategy as a way for clients to earn a competitive return and promote responsible business practices with their investment dollars. During the research process, Erica became captivated by the concept of businesses improving profitability and reducing risk by focusing on the triple bottom line: people, planet, and profit. She later completed the Corporate Social Responsibility Certificate Program at the University of Colorado and values CCM’s commitment to being a force for good through their B Corp status.
Erica read the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, in high school and was inspired to help people put their money to work and achieve financial freedom. She attended Colorado State University and completed the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on finance and real estate. As a result of being a lifelong learner, she is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Charterholder and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®). She enjoys volunteering in the community, hiking, camping, yoga and spending time with her family and yellow lab.
